What is Dis-ease?

Sickness as a Spiritual Signal
Every word matters, and the word "sick" is no exception. Let’s examine its definitions:
- Spiritually or morally unsound or corrupt
- Sickened by strong emotion (e.g., “sick with fear” or “worried sick”)
- Depressed or longing (e.g., “homesick”)
- Mentally or emotionally unsound (e.g., “sick thoughts”)
Do these meanings resonate with you? They all point to emotional and spiritual states rather than purely physical ones. When we are “sick,” our body is simply mirroring the dis-ease within our spirit or mind.
The Mind-Body Connection
We make ourselves sick through our unprocessed emotions and thoughts. For example:
- Fear and Anxiety: These emotions create stress, weakening the immune system and disrupting the body’s natural balance.
- Anger and Resentment: These are energetic blocks that can manifest as chronic pain or inflammation.
- Guilt and Shame: These emotions lower our vibration, affecting our mental clarity and physical resilience.

- Move your body daily to release stored energy.
- Rest deeply to allow the body to repair and recalibrate.

On a soul level, even the most difficult experiences serve a purpose. Some dis-ease arises from karmic lessons, soul contracts, or the need for growth. While we may not always understand the reasons, trusting the larger plan allows us to face challenges with courage and faith.
