SOCIAL MOBILITY HALTED

The current state of society is alarming. As the middle class is absorbed, a significant gap has arisen.

What is happening to the middle class? It is being dissolved. It is disappearing before our eyes!

How is it being dissolved? By devaluing labor – the resource this group uses to get ahead and by restricting upward movement, also known as halting social mobility. 

Social mobility refers to change in a person's socio-economic situation, either in relation to their parents (intergenerational mobility) or throughout their lifetime (intragenerational mobility).

“If you were born in the post-war years in North America, you had a 90 percent chance of earning more than your parents. The peak of this trend occurred in 1940; social mobility has been declining ever since. “

Its era has ended. 

Those in the middle class are not getting out or ahead – there is no carrot anymore. 

Social mobility has officially halted, and the expectation that one will rise from their societal income bracket is unrealistic if they don’t play the game to their benefit. By 2030, experts say there will only be the rich and the poor – it's about to happen before everyone's eyes. How are you going to get ahead if you can barely keep up? Don’t joke yourself – almost everyone is just keeping pace. In many countries incomes that were once considered GREAT are barely enough to survive. How many people do you know who are continuously climbing the ladder in life versus those who are already spinning their wheels stuck at the same levels, barely keeping up?
