CHECKS – they say read the fine print, and I am sure you have heard someone say, “Sign on the dotted line.” However, there is no line on the check, and you better be sure they mean small when they say read the fine print. Did you know the signature line on a check is not a line at all? Nope. It's a sentence! Get your magnifying glass out and go look for yourself! "Sign on the dotted line" is about the importance of being aware of what you're affirming when you sign something. Signing a check is not just a formality but an affirmation of your agreement to pay a specific amount to the recipient.  Furthermore, the fact that the "line" on a check is actually a sentence emphasizes the significance of reading and overstanding the fine print before signing any document.
