VOLUNTEER TO LEARN

Want to learn for free? Why pay for experience and education in a traditional setting – why not go get it for free? See, I like to learn a lot. The books I read and the classes I take easily cost me $50,000 a year, every year. And they started to get expensive. I value every book and class I have ever taken, AND I got smart when it came to acquiring knowledge. I am an extremely skilled individual when it comes to the skill of thinking. What do I mean by this? If you put me in a room with anyone and their business, I will think up a way for them to earn more and improve their current game. After endless encounters at dinners and random conversations where this realization proved true, I decided to monetize it.

I worked for four years straight, day and night, to write my book series, and at the end, I realized I needed to master the tech game because it's all fun and games to write a book; in fact, anyone can do it, but it's all a waste if you can't sell it and get it into the hands of the people who need it. There are a million great authors you've never heard of because they didn't master the most important step: sales of their product.

I had a friend from high school who hit it big on Amazon; he was #1 in many of the categories he sold in for the country, and he had a keen interest in what I knew, and I had a keen interest in what he knew. I offered to volunteer to help him in exchange for him teaching me. Yes, I could have purchased an online course on how to master Amazon, but would I really be learning what I needed to learn? By trading sometime of mine for free, I got to witness and have access to someone who knew what I wanted to know, but not only did he know, he had demonstrated he was a pro because he was in the winning position I wanted. Learn to use yourself as a tradable commodity. This is another reason why learning is so powerful: the more you learn, the more value you can add to others, and in turn, the more valuable you become.
