Rule #2: Repeat Until It's Reality — Master the Echo Chamber

The second rule is repetition. Joseph Goebbels, the infamous Nazi propagandist, said it bluntly: “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.” And today, this technique is alive and well — not just in governments, but in media, marketing, and even medicine.

When a phrase, belief, or story is repeated across enough platforms, people begin to accept it as a given. Not because they researched it. Not because they overstand it. But because they’ve heard it so many times it feels familiar. That familiarity is confused with truth.

Think of how slogans are repeated: “Trust the science.” “Safe and effective.” “For your safety.” “Flatten the curve.” “We’re all in this together.” It doesn’t matter if the science is contradictory, if the safety data is redacted, or if we’re clearly not all in this together. The phrase itself creates consensus.

Repetition bypasses logic and builds emotional rhythm. If enough people repeat the message, it creates a psychological effect known as the illusion of truth. You start to doubt your own instincts. You wonder if you're the only one who sees the holes in the logic. You assume the crowd must be right. This is how the narrative becomes a belief system — and belief becomes obedience.
