Did you know trees talk to each other? Or store nutrients for decades at a time? This past weekend Mina and I decided to unplug and take a break from our businesses and get out into nature! I fell in love with hiking back in 2015 while taking time off work to deal with my thyroid issues, back then I was lucky to have enough free time I was able to hike every single day.. not the case anymore. Lately, I’ve been lucky to get out once a month for a hike. As my life gets busier I intuitively felt it was necessary I make time for the things I love and especially for hiking in order to stay balanced and grounded. 10KM into the forest we went until we made it to the waterfall where we grounded and put our feet into the fresh and yes freezing cold water (You know how much we love being in cold water!). The day provided us with so much joy that I decided to read a book about trees. “The Hidden Life Of Trees.” Fun facts! Trees communicate with one another, they have the sense of taste, they can tell what kind of bug is attacking them before fighting back, they care for their sick, and they choose/decide when to mate.⁠⠀
