I like to tell myself ‘ I Can Do Hard Things.’ This daily mantra helps me conquer life and sometimes unbelievably tall mountains. This photo is from the moment I reached the top of Old Man Storr, To Make it to the top of the peak I literally had to crawl on my hands and knees. This was a first for me. When I saw how steep and lose the rocks were on the last stretch I wanted to turn around. I thought ‘ this is too dangerous, no way am I going up there!’ The critic inside was trying to discourage me! I told myself ‘ I can do hard things.’ And up I went! I spent the next hour sitting on the top of the iconic rock, taking in the view and reflecting on how lucky I was to get to experience this moment.
