I made arrangements to go to the Savoy for lunch. Afternoon tea at the Savoy in London is my favourite high tea <3 I first came to the Savoy was with Eli, my Grandma. Last year when I met my Mom and Grandma in London after their trip to Norway they asked me to pick the hotel we would stay at. I remembered a story my Grandma told me about how when after the war she and her friends came to London. They used to sit outside smoking and dreaming. They would watch the people come and go in their fancy clothes dreaming that they too one day would have the opportunity to stay there. I had had a great year at work, and to make her dream came true was one of the best feelings I had ever had the experience of feeling. We have been best friends ever since, I am desperately always trying to grow my bond with my family, and I feel that the trip to the Savoy was what really bonded Eli and I. The amount of joy our hotel stay gave her was priceless to me. The Savoy will now always have a special place in my heart.
