Dating In the Digital Age - ( from my time in London) Thoughts on dating and technology - I’ve never really been single in my entire life. Sometimes less than 24 hours between boyfriends and often lasting years. This time has been different. Back when everything collapsed, I was dead set on never letting someone choose me again. I have never really chosen my partners, they have always chosen me. Either through persistence or persuasion. At first, the thought of dating again scared me, my friends had all convinced me to sign up for dating apps, which I was totally opposed to. That was until I recently got Tinder. I had heard horrible things for years about Apps like this. However, I found my first experience to be completely the opposite. I paid to upgrade the account which allows you to see who liked you. This gave me the ability to choose for myself! First, I started by writing a list of what I was looking for, and secondly a list of what I was not looking for. I literally spent hours going through thousands of profiles, reading them and checking out all of the photos. And when I found a guy that I wanted to go on a date with, I asked him to come meet me. I ended up going on an amazing date and meeting someone very interesting. This has been such a refreshing experience for myself. Even though we won't see each other again it was a good experience and a great way for me to break back into dating. I’ll give Tinder a 5-star rating. I found it to be an empowering experience and think it is a fantastic way to date and meet people. #soulrenovation
