What Is A Non- Player Character In The Game Of Life?
A non-player character (NPC) is any character in a game that is not controlled by a player. In video games, this usually means a character controlled by the computer (instead of a player) that has a predetermined set of behaviors that potentially will impact gameplay, but in life, they are what Dolorus Canon coined “backdrop people.”8
Now, are all people backdrop people? No. Are there lots of them? Yes.
These are the people who became empty vessels due to Soul loss or a chosen exodus, due to a painful experience. When I speak of void spaces that get filled by entities, think of the ‘computer’ taking over for the player because the player left the room.
Dolores Cannon, a past-life regressionist and hypnotherapist, has contributed many intriguing ideas to the field of Spiritual exploration through her work with clients. One such concept is that of "backdrop people." It's an interesting idea that can be analogized with Non-player characters (NPCs) in video games.
Here Is A Breakdown Of The Comparison
Backdrop People (Dolores Cannon's Theory)
Definition
According to Cannon, "backdrop people" are individuals who appear in our lives, but do not have the same depth of Soul essence or purpose as others. They're essentially "filler" people, present to complete the background of our life's play. It's as if our world is a stage, and while some of us are main actors with distinct purposes and roles, others are just there to fill the space, akin to extras in a movie.
Purpose
These "backdrop people" help create the setting and context for the "main actors" to play out their roles. They're not necessarily unimportant, but their primary role is to provide the necessary background for the more significant events and interactions to take place.
