We All Receive Signs As Guidance 

If you are paying attention, you will see and hear them all around you. Sometimes, it might be you silently asking a question, and you then overhear someone else speaking the answer to someone else at the table next to you. Or, it could be that you turn on the radio, and it feels like the lyrics are speaking directly to you. The song is exactly what you need to hear at that moment.

When you have created space, and you are present in your life, you’ll hear and see signs. I like to call this type of guidance encouragement coaching. These types of signs are kind of like having your coach yelling positive reinforcements to you from the sidelines. “Hey, good job, you're on the path! You made a good play. That was a good kick of the ball in the right direction!” That’s how I imagine it in my head, like I am playing on a field and the coach is encouraging me from the sidelines.

These signs are the Universe checking in on you, providing you with encouragement when you need it and when you’re on the right path. It builds you up to believe in yourself and to keep you open to expanding and expecting the unexpected.

How Should You Respond To Signs?

Signs are clear guidance for your life. Listen to them. Follow them. Signs will never lead you off the path. You can trust the Universe, your partner in the game. Following signs will lead you down your path towards your goals and your Soul's purpose.

Sometimes, We Miss The Signs 

Too much of the time, we are not paying attention because we are distracted. This happens when we have not created space for Grace. We don’t notice all the signs coming in for us. Most of the things we have asked for are being lined up, and signs are being sent. If we don’t stay focused, we’ll miss them all and maybe even miss out on what we asked for. Because we weren’t doing our part.

The good news is that you can learn to recognize signs, just as you can learn to make space for them. Sometimes, the Universe sends stronger signs to push you.

Signs will come in stronger if you haven’t been paying attention to earlier signs. This can be extremely uncomfortable. That's why you will hear it said, ‘don't miss the signs.’ But growth is rarely comfortable. And, usually, when you are facing anything big in your life, something that will advance you to a new level in your life, the Universe gets louder to help you. It may even give you one big push to keep you on path. It could be that you suddenly experience a lot of upheaval in your life, and it feels like a real storm. It could be that you lose something or someone, such as through a breakup or a job loss. These signs are big enough to forcefully get your attention.

While these kinds of signs might seem really harsh, it is important to understand that the Universe only ever pushes you to help you. Major losses or upheaval – this happens when you are on the cusp of advancing in your life. It is the Universe abruptly clearing a more direct path for you. When you look past the situations, in the larger picture, these changes are just more signs helping you forward.

These situations obviously aren’t ideal, but they arise when you missed earlier signs, and you need a harsher push in a certain direction. The bigger signs force you to learn lessons at an accelerated pace and allow you to advance. It is a bit like learning the hard way, having failed earlier lessons because you missed the signs. If you’re not careful, you can get trapped in cycles of learning hard lessons over and over again instead of following signs with ease and advancing.
