Exercise: Granting Yourself Permission to Celebrate
Plan a Celebration: Think about how you will celebrate your next achievement. Plan a celebration that feels special and aligns with your values. Planning in advance gives you something to look forward to and keeps you motivated. Just as you made a list of fifty-two habits you would implement one by one, you can create a list of fifty-two rewards. What could you reward yourself with every week after you complete a week of staying on track? Do you want bigger rewards, such as larger material objects or trips? Set a reward schedule for a trip every quarter or an item every quarter.
How you celebrate your wins and reward yourself should be personally tailored to hit all your desired points so that when you think about not keeping on track during your week, it gives you the motivation to push through and finish the week off successfully, achieving everything you set out to do.
By giving yourself permission to pursue your dreams and celebrating each step along the way, you create a positive feedback loop that propels you toward greater success and fulfillment. Remember, every achievement—big or small—deserves recognition. Celebrate in style, and keep your momentum going!
