Show Up for Yourself First
It is not fair to put expectations on other people. Expectations about who others are in your Game are simply illusions. It is also not fair for others to put expectations on you. Be grateful when you are assisted by someone in your Game and never expect it. If you are in alignment with those around you, you will always have helpful people in your Game.
It is your responsibility to show up for yourself. First and foremost. You will spend the rest of your Game with yourself. While other people will come and go, they are merely a bonus in your Game. You cannot definitively say that any one person will truly be with you forever. This is just a fact. It’s how it is supposed to be. It’s part of your Game, part of its grand, divine design. You are the only constant in your Game. You are it. Therefore, it’s important that you allocate your energy and resources toward this reality.
I like to tell myself I know where I'm going. I know who I am. And I know what my purpose is. Anything that comes up along the way is a distraction. And you all hear this. You all hear, "Oh, distraction, distraction," but what does that actually look like? If you're on your path and you know where you're going, you have a clear aim, and you know your purpose, anything that gets in the way should be seen as a bump in the road. But it’s not just any bump—it’s a bump in front of you, requiring extra energy to get over. Anything blocking your path needs to get off the path, period. It’s either adding to your purpose and helping you along, or it's stalling and slowing you down. Distractions are quite literally the obstacles on the course. If life is a Game, there are levels, and distractions are just the obstacles you need to maneuver around. You cannot get involved with them, let them soak into you, or even allow them in your environment. You need to maneuver around them as fast as possible, slide them out of the way, and get back on the path.
Some people in life are destined for great things, and others will smell it on them before they achieve it or before they reach their destiny. If you allow it, they will take your destiny from you. They will slow you down, sabotage you, and ultimately, you will miss your destiny.
