Boundaries
Another reason unsupportive people may show up is to teach you about boundaries. Frenemies and people who drain your energy are two types of individuals who can undermine your progress. Inviting these players into your Game is a pitfall. You have likely heard the expression, “When dealing with a problematic person, you must sort them out.” Allowing these players to enter your Game reflects that you do not value yourself or your goals enough to set boundaries and keep them out. Treat your Game, and your vision, like a precious infant. Be very protective. Guard any influence that comes around it. Not everyone deserves to be in or around it. When these players show up, it’s a reminder to learn how to set and maintain your boundaries. Screen and sort these players out of your Game. Society conditions you to want to fit into the herd, appease everyone, and not upset others. You cannot set boundaries if you do not value your self-worth. Elevating your self-worth is key to maintaining your boundaries. Put yourself first, know and elevate your worth, and protect your boundaries like a fortress.
