Growth doesn’t need approval. Sometimes it’s driven by peace. Sometimes it’s powered by pressure. Whether it’s done despite their absence or in spite of their doubt — growth is growth. Let it be your fuel, not your apology.

When it comes to growth, do it despite them. Or in spite of them. Either way — grow. That’s the point. Some people are going to support you. Others will try to slow you down. Some will leave without a word. Others will doubt you right to your face. But your responsibility isn’t to change their mind. It’s to change your life.

Let’s be honest — not all motivation is peaceful. Not all growth comes from soft self-love and vision boards. Some of it comes from grit. From getting tired of being doubted. From remembering who didn’t clap. From stacking every time they said, “You’ll never...” into the bricks you use to build your empire. And that’s valid.

Doing it despite them means you’re moving forward even though they weren’t there. They didn’t believe. They weren’t consistent. They disappeared. You grew anyway. You got better, even when no one noticed. You invested, healed, studied, shifted — without a cheering section. That’s power. Quiet, internal, sovereign power. That’s “I don’t need you to see it to make it real” energy.

Now — doing it in spite of them? That’s a different kind of fire. That’s, “I heard you. I remember what you said. And I’m still doing it.” That’s turning every jab, every backhanded comment, every fake friend’s shade into fuel. That’s when your glow-up becomes not just personal — but undeniable. Not because you’re trying to prove something — but because you already proved it to yourself.

Let’s stop pretending that every form of motivation has to be pretty. Sometimes spite is sacred. Sometimes anger becomes fuel when it's channeled. When you let it move through your body and into your discipline. Into your focus. Into your next move. We’re not here to hold grudges. But we’re also not here to forget what pushed us to become her.

And don’t get it twisted — this isn’t about revenge. This is about resurrection. About rising when no one thought you would. About becoming so whole that their absence, their doubt, their betrayal becomes irrelevant to your ability to thrive. That’s the level-up. That’s the win. Not just that you did it — but that you didn’t need their approval to start, and you won’t need their applause to finish.

Whether they stayed or left, whether they praised you or mocked you — whether they tried to block you or doubted you into silence — you still have a choice. To rise. To grow. To keep building. To keep becoming. And if the only motivation you have today is “I’m going to show them,” then start there. Start with the fire. Then let it evolve. Let it soften over time. But don’t wait for the perfect headspace to start your work. Growth doesn’t wait for peace. Sometimes it’s born in war.

You don’t owe anyone a breakdown. You don’t owe anyone the story behind your shift. All you owe is your next move. Let your results be your response. Let your presence be your proof. And let every inch of your growth be a reminder that they didn’t stop anything. In fact, they may have activated everything.
