How to Write Your Affirmations:
Creating powerful and effective affirmations involves intentionality and structure. Follow these steps to craft affirmations that align with your goals and activate your subconscious mind. Here is a high-level overview so you overstand where you are going. You are not actually making your affirmations yet—you still need to go over how to craft your life story and go through a list of questions you should be answering—but it is important for you to have a high-level overview of the process before you begin getting into the work of writing your list.
- Identify Your Goals
Determine what you want to achieve or change in your life. Be clear about your desires so your affirmations have a strong foundation.
- Be Specific
Make your affirmations precise and relevant to your goals. Vague affirmations lack the focus needed to inspire change.
Example:
Instead of saying, "I want to be successful," reframe it as, "I am successful and thriving in my career, attracting opportunities daily."
- Use Positive Language
Frame your affirmations in a positive light, focusing on what you want rather than what you don’t want. Positive language inspires confidence and attracts favorable outcomes.
Examples:
- "I am a powerful manifestor."
- "What I want wants me."
- “Whatever I summon comes running.”
- "I am so lucky; everything is always working out for me."
- "I am so blessed.”
- “I am surrounded by miracles."
- "I manifest everything that I desire."
- Keep Them in the Present Tense
Phrase your affirmations as if they are already happening. This signals to your subconscious mind that your goals are real and attainable.
Example:
Instead of saying, "I will be happy," write, "I am joyful and fulfilled in every moment of my life." Present tense as if it is already here, not that it is something you will be in the future or it will always be something that is coming and not something that is HERE NOW.
- Organize Your Affirmations Logically
Arrange your affirmations in a sequence that aligns with your goals and the areas of your life you want to improve.
- Start broad: Focus on general affirmations; write anything and everything you can then niche down and get hyper specific.
- Get specific: Get hyper specific, create headings and subjects because as soon as you start crafting your affirmations and they come to be, I ensure you that you will be having more and more flood in that you want to add.
Examples of Main Headings:
Health
Wealth
Career and Professional Goals
Appearance and Body Image
Spiritual Expression and Growth
Ideal Family and or Partner Goals
- Use High-Energy Words
Incorporate vibrant, uplifting words to keep your affirmations powerful and inspiring.
Examples of High-Energy Words:
Accomplished, attractive, authentic, awake, blessed, beautiful, brilliant, charming, cheerful, competent, confident, courageous, creative, delightful, determined, elegant, endless, enticing, excellent, exciting, etc.
