Law… It’s a Book of Spells
Natural Law or Written Word as Law?
Think of it this way: words are just words—until you assign meaning to them. Without meaning, they hold no power. But what happens when you take words as law, assign them meaning, and come into agreement with them, deciding they are concrete and unchangeable?
Consider legal words. People abide by them because they accept them as absolute truths—law, pun fully intended. Yet, what are laws, really? They are just words written down as rules on paper. And suddenly, because they’ve been codified, people believe they apply universally and must be followed.
"Real language is spoken, and real law is known. We all have an inherent sense of right and wrong, an internal compass of what is good and just. But the act of writing down laws—spelling them out—begins to mold the mindset of individuals and societies. Through this process, people are influenced to operate within parameters that exist outside of natural law.” - Dr. Rebecca Allen
Words, when written and accepted as truth, have the power to create systems, shape beliefs, and control behavior. They become spells—binding agreements that dictate how you interact with reality.
