MUTE IT!

Muting stories and permanent posts is a powerful way to choose what will and will not pop into your world unexpectedly. Mute as many as you need to. Social Media cords are the strongest of all the modern-day cords, as we are constantly seeing the same profile picture for each and every individual. It is building repetition in our mind – the cord is constantly strengthened every time we engage and view. Stories have really hit this concept home – all day, every day, we have the same profile picture popping up in our feed over and over again. This is reinforcing and strengthening the cord every time. For this reason, stories get muted! Who to mute? Up to you. Just know the bond is growing with every repetitive glance at the imagery of the profile picture. I encourage you to look through, especially whose stories you want to mute, everybody you do not want to create a cord with. I encourage you to take this one step further, if a person is not sending you good vibes, they should not be on your page, period.
