What to Consume?
Take it upon yourself to consciously choose the content you take in. Create the story you want to see play out. Go looking for new information and new ways to grow. We’re all getting fed a story. We can either be fed or choose to feed ourselves. I have decided nobody is curating my conscious thoughts on my behalf, and I encourage you to consider this as well.
How I Did This:
- I set a clear outline of the types of content I felt aligned with and worthy of my time to consume. For me – right now I am all about inspiration, biohacking, gamification, law of attraction, and actual friends.
- I took an audit of all the content I follow online – I cleaned out social platforms, the podcasts I listen to, songs on my playlists, and channels I allow myself to watch.
- I measured each subscription or follow against the question, "Is this creating the reality I am choosing?"
- I actively looked for high-quality platforms and individuals with content that fit what I am creating.
- I became ruthless with my emails – cleaning out and unsubscribing from everything. This took the longest.
We’re all getting fed a story. We can either be fed or choose to feed ourselves. I decided I would feed myself – that I could, in fact, create a world of my choice by consciously choosing the content I take in. I asked myself, “Okay, if we literally get what we think, how can I control my thinking? How do I attract what I want – that which I desire?” The answer? By controlling what we take in!
