HOW TO TAKE YOUR POWER BACK
CHOOSE to be the one programming yourself. We enter less – or we enter with intent.
Like to confirm – yes, add me to that bucket. Finding it difficult to enter less? As forced change does not work, and I guarantee if you walk away after learning about the future pitfalls of the data we are giving away, you will know it is not wise to continue doing it. However, it is a hard habit to break. Instead, after months of not being able to adjust this habit in myself, I took a new approach – I decided to take inventory of what I had put out there. And I do not mean I glanced at my social accounts – oh, no, I took this to the next level. I went through every piece of content I could find that I was attached to, and had my social team copy and paste it into Excel sheets. I examined my Instagram, YouTube descriptions, closed captions, Twitter, and Facebook, dating all the way back to the beginning. Now remember, this did not include thousands of other things I would never be able to track – I thought of all the letters I had typed and transactions I had processed online and suddenly I felt sick. Looking at all I had said over the years and how much I had changed since then, I thought, "I should put a little more care into what I put out." Call it a mini wake-up – I suddenly understood how much of me was floating out there. By performing self-examination and self-observation, my behaviors changed – I never had to force it to happen after that. I simply shifted my view, and thus my behaviors changed – no forcing needed. I ask you this, are you entering and engaging with intent?
